Dr. Carey August has recently retired from her position as Chairman of Pathology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. During her thirty-three year career at the hospital, she also served as Medical Staff President and held teaching positions, most recently Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology at Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. August received her BS in Biology from Yale University, followed by her MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Northwestern as well, where, upon completion of her residency, she served as Attending Pathologist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology before joining the medical staff of Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. In 2021 and 2022, Dr. August served as President of the College of American Pathologists Foundation, and she remains active in this charitable endeavor. Dr. August is also currently President of Yale Women Chicago
